jordan-gasdealJordanians protested for the fourth consecutive week at protests and marches rejecting the natural gas import agreement with the Zionist state.

Hundreds of activists engaged in a protest on Friday, October 21 in front of the national electricity company in Amman to protest the gas agreement, denouncing the deal with the occupier and its theft of stolen Palestinian gas.

Participants chanted against the Jordanian government’s complicity in the violation of Palestinian rights and remembered Jordanian martyrs slain by the occupation, such as the judge Raed Zuaiter.

Security forces attempted to suppress the demonstration but participants insisted to remain in front of the electricity company. The Jordanian government signed an agreement late last month to import natural gas from the Zionist state over a period of 15 years, in an amount of around $10 billion USD.
