The prisoners of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Israeli occupation prisons celebrated the release of fellow struggler Khitam Saafin, freed after three months in administrative detention.
The comrades immediately celebrated in the occupation prisons after receiving the news of the comrade’s release and distributed sweets to the prisoners, denouncing administrative detention and demanding an end to the policy and its violations of international law and human rights.
The prisoners considered the release of Comrade Um Omran as a beautiful occasion and a great joy for the prisoners in general and the PFLP prisoners especially, as Comrade Khitam is one of the most active Palestinian women’s movement leaders. She has always supported the families of the prisoners and is present at all events dealing with issues of detention.
The comrades extended their congratulations to all the prisoners, the Palestinian people and the family of Khitam Saafin upon the occasion of her release. They also saluted imprisoned struggler Khalida Jarrar, who is serving a six month sentence in administrative detention. The prisoners of the Front called on this occasion to build a comprehensive national strategy for the release of all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons by all means available.
